Welcome to Harborne Lane Nursing Home, we are a well established family-run home. Our aim is to provide a person centred approach in caring for your loved one, ensuring their personal, medical and social needs are met at all times.

The residence has been carefully designed to offer modern facilities whilst maintaining the comforts of a home. Aside from the fully equipped and spacious ensuite bedrooms, we offer several comfortable communal areas and beautifully landscaped surroundings, with the Bourn Brook walkway running alongside the property.

Our Home is family owned and Gary oversees the operational running. Gary makes regular visits to the home, he provides advice, support and is always available for a coffee and a chat.

Our Registered Home Manager is Mihaela is who is a very positive and approachable. Mihaela worked as a Unit manager at our home for a number of years prior to her promotion. Mihaela oversees the running of our home on a day to day basis with the help of our deputy manager Carol and our Clinical Lead Alex.

Meaningful and purposeful engagement is of great importance when considering quality of life. Julie our lead activities coordinator and her team undertakes the organisation of the social events. Great emphasis is put into the meal time experience and all food is prepared here in our five star rated kitchen and can be served at dining tables in our dining rooms.

Mihaela is supported by a team of registered nurses who are responsible for the day to day care of each unit. Our staff our trained and observed by Juanita who has considerable experience in the care sector. Our services cover areas such as Wound Care, Dementia Care, Palliative and End of Life Care, to name a few.

Our team are friendly, caring, positive and most of them have been with the home for many years. They help to create a homely atmosphere whilst ensuring that all residents receive the appropriate care and support. It is our aim to continually improve our services and to provide the highest level of care for our residents.

The catering team produce an excellent variety of home cooked food with the menu changing in accordance with the season. Each day the residents are offered a choice from the menu. Specialist dietary requirements are readily catered for. Light choices are available at any time of day or night. Room service is available as required by the resident.

We also have a great housekeeping team which includes our, laundry assistants, cleaners and maintenance team, who all work hard to ensure there is a clean, safe and tidy environment throughout the home.

Our Activities Team encourage residents to take part in various activities, hobbies and interests, enabling them to be as lively or as quiet as they wish. Additional services such as chiropody and physiotherapy can be arranged as well as visits from opticians, hairstylists and dentists.
